Requirements

  • Prerequisites: Assumes knowledge of building and tuning neural networks in keras, satisfied by Data Science: The AI Journey that meets the 3 weeks before.

    • We have a special Deep Learning Package above that includes Navigating Neural Networks, the final week of Data Science: The AI Journey. Please note that this package is not for beginners. It is designed for returning BCA students or students with experience building machine learning models in Python.

  • Ages: 12-14, 15-18

  • Hardware/Software: Computer with internet connection good enough for Zoom.

Dates

  • AI in Action: Teaching Machines to See meets on Zoom from Aug 4-8, 9:15am-12:45pm PDT - 17.5 hours.

  • Navigating Neural Networks meets the week before on Zoom from July 28 - Aug 2, 9:15am-12:45pm PDT - 17.5 hours.

Class

  • Interactive lectures taught by program director Corey Wade and senior instructor Mitchell Dennis.

  • Small cohorts of 8 or fewer students grouped by age and coding experience led by data science instructors with assistants.

  • Information on student background in coding will be collected via survey after you click on “Enroll” above.
