Scholarships

BCA Scholarship Requirements

Since our inception in 2020, Berkeley Coding Academy has offered full scholarships to a limited number of students who demonstrate a combination of financial need, merit, and bridging the tech skills gap. Partial scholarships (usually half-scholarships) are also available.

  • Financial Need - Families must qualify at approximately 150% of the federal poverty level or less according to their AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) on their most recent tax returns. Families who do not meet this threshold may qualify for our partial scholarships.

  • Merit - We are looking for students who show academic promise in Data Science and Programming based on their school record and extra-curricular activities.

  • Tech Skills Gap - Students who identify as female and underrepresented minorities are highly encouraged to apply as Berkeley Coding Academy is committed to bridging the tech skills gap by providing opportunities to sectors of the population underrepresented in tech.
